THE PRINCIPLES OF DELIVERANCE

The principles of deliverance for human dignitaries are exemplified in a more obvious character, in the lives of Moses, Jesus and Apostle Paul. These three personalities stand out among others, both in the old and new testaments, as model characters for deliverance from the tyranny of human dignity and pride.

AS EXEMPLIFIED IN MOSES

The experience through which the Lord led Moses before he became the deliverer of the Isrealites from the land of bondage makes him a suitable example of the principle of deliverance. He was brought up in the palace of Pharaoh before he began to realize that the Hebrews that were oppressed by king Pharaoh were his brethren. At this point, it became a matter of choice between dignity and deliverance for Moses. Out of the zeal to liberate is brethren, he exposed himself to the wrath of the king who wanted to kill him. God allowed this to happen as a way of bringing Moses out of his palace dignity, so that he could be led through a wilderness experience that would help to mold him into the man the Lord would use to liberate the Israelites. The man who is to be used as an instrument for liberating others must first be liberated. Moses attempted accomplishing the divine call upon him with hi palace or royal dignity, but the Lord did not approve it.

Through the crisis, the Lord was teaching Moses that He could not use him until He had stripped off him the garment of royal dignity and given him that of a true shepherd. This was why the Lord appeared to him in a burning bush when he was alone with the flocks of Jethro. By this time, Moses had been stripped of the garment of palace dignity and had been given that of a shepherd. And now, he had been brought to the point where the Lord was waiting to have an encounter with him. It was an encounter which turned him into a  powerful deliverer of God's people who were still in bondage Ex.3:1-4:20.
