Lasting satisfaction and pleasure can only be truly experienced when certain things are put in place. These things are received through right attitude when responding to God and His will. It is only in obedient living to God's divine instructions that we receive these satisfactions which are:
Peace like a river- This is the prosperity that comes with the enjoyment of series of God's mercies. It is mercy following mercy as the waters of a river that always lasts- Jn. 1:16; Ezek.47:9
Righteousness like the wave of the sea: This is the honour and justice that brings down oppositions. Waves of the sea speaks of influence that comes as a result of righteousness- Jn. 1:15
Joy in the Holy Spirit: This is the expression of great delight in the Lord that results in a joy that is unspeakable. This kind of joy is not inspired by food or drink, it is not based on material things but comes from the Lord when we obey Him- Rm.14:17.
