GENERATIONAL LEGACY

This is a godly transition of passing on the word of God from parents to their children from one generation to another through a well organized bible studies in order to preserve a godly generation. The foundation is aid by doing and teaching the word of truth- Acts 1:1. The teaching must be done to suit modern thought and views; otherwise the power of the word will be lost. Modernism is one of the enemies of the cross and the truth- Isa. 55:6-11. The power of inspiration and motivation for doing this is fear and reverence and supreme love of God. This legacy is said to be for us, our children and for our children's children forever. 

The reason fathers and sons are mentioned primarily is because they re principal actors in the transmission and preservation of godly legacy in the family. They are the family pillars of destiny. Fathers hence have the responsibility of transmitting these legacies to their children (especially the sons), because the sons are the primary custodians of family properties and name as successors f their fathers. And, as the head of the woman, the husband has the responsibility of guiding the wife to know the mind of God for the family so that both can join hands to train the children.

Adam was first created and given the commandment not to eat the forbidden fruit before Eve his wife was created. It was Adam who had the responsibility to educate, inform and guide the wife on God's instructions and ensure obedience- Gen.2:15-18. That is why he is the head of the woman and told to live with her according to knowledge-1 Cor.11:3.
