ISRAEL- THE TRANSFORMED MAN

One clear factor was noticed in the life of Jacob in the night of his wrestle with God. That factor is a clear evidence of a transformed life and character. This change in character was showed in his humility towards Esau, his elder brother when they met after so many years of separation- Gen. 33. As God was at work in the life of Jacob, He was also at work in the life of Esau, for He had blessed Esau so much that he no longer held grudge against Jacob. All Jacob's fears proved unfounded when he finally met his brother who was formally angry against him even to the point of killing him. This justifies Prov. 16:7, that says ''when a man's ways pleases the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him''. It was from this point that the new  nature and character of a true prince with was being manifested in the life of Jacob till death.
