THE GENERATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS
The righteous is an upright man. The word ‘’upright’’ means to be honourable and straight-forward in behavior. The righteous man is upright in heart and this quality makes him straight forward in behavior; and as such he becomes honourable before God and man. He is sincere and honest in all his dealings and relationships. There is no place for crookedness or deceitfulness in his life and character- Ps. 125; Prov. 11:1-6. An upright man is a man of integrity because he daily upholds the integrity of God’s word and righteousness. Uprightness is a mark of greatness and blessing-Ps. 112.
THE GENERATION THAT SEEKS THE LORD
To seek means to look for; search for. The righteous generation looks for the Lord and search for Him. They know they will find the Lord when they look and search for Him- Jer. 29:11-13. While others spend time and all their life seeking for pleasure and the things of this world, the righteous spend most of their time and all their lives seeking for the Lord who is the source of all blessings.
