THE LEVELS OF THE VISION AND MISSION OF CHRIST FOR THE CHURCH

The mission that God requires of the church is to bring deliverance to the people; creating awareness of the second coming of Christ; and preparing the saints for rapture. Each of these levels lead to another. The first level is the level of Christian new birth experience and doctrines. It is a stage where multitudes follow Christ because of the benefits they will get from Him. It is a level of bread and butter where multitudes are found- Jn. 6:24-34.
The second  level is the level of growth and maturity in Christ where the believer is meant to take up responsibilities of service and become a witness of Christ; and effectively plays his or her role in creating awareness of the death and resurrection of Christ and His second coming- Heb. 5:11-6:6. The third level is the high point of the Christian faith where hard things are required and demanded to make the believer holy , without wrinkle, stain or blemish in the spirit, soul and body- Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 5:25-27; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1.
The third level is the level where the multitudes get offended because of the high demands required by the Lord to make His people fit for His kingdom. Some of these demands will seem offensive and foolish to the carnally minded, hence, majority of the multitude will become offended, hardened and turn away from following Christ and become enemies of the cross- Jn. 6:35-7:1. The Lord warned His people that the path that leads to the kingdom is tight and narrow, that anyone who would want to enter will have to meet up with the high demands.

We cannot claim to love God if we cannot keep to his vision and mission for us and these can only be shown when we uphold these visions.
