HEAVEN AND HELL FIRE

The earth is where our eternal destiny is decided. If we do the right things on earth, we have it right in eternity and vice versa. The standard for measuring our worth in eternity is not earthly or of human standard, but heavenly  and divine standard. This implies that every wise person must pay attention to God's instructions whether they sound wise or foolish to man's judgment or consideration.
In 1 Cor. 9:27; If one becomes a cast away, he is either disqualified from entering heaven or disqualified from reward after making heaven. The major threat to a man's disqualification from heaven or its reward is not the devil or even his demons, but our natural inclinations- gratifications for the cravings of our sinful desires and its nature which renders us enemies to God. Hence, apostle Paul fought to bring his body under subjection and made it his slave; so that after he had preached to others, he would not be a cast away. This same issue is facing so many of our church leaders today. Messages that are pouring in through those that were raised from the dead are very frightening. So many great church leaders who are now late are reported to be seen in hell. From the mouth of two or three witnesses, the truth is established as long as it does not contradict the scriptures- Deut. 17:6; 2Cor. 13:1.

Hell is a place of torment where the souls of the wicked dead are reserved, as in a prison, until the day of their judgment before the great white throne judgment- Lk. 16:19-31.Hell fire is also known as the ''lake of fire'' that burns with fire and brimstone- Rev. 19:20; 20:10; 21:10. Hell fire will be opened after the great white throne judgment where all the wicked dead souls will be given their final verdict- Rev.20;11-15. Hades is a Greek word for hell while shoel is the Hebrew word for it. Before Christ's resurrection, there were two departments; Abraham's bosom and hell. Abraham's bosom was where the righteous dead were kept, waiting for the coming of Christ. After Christ's resurrection, Abraham's bosom and the righteous dead in it were transferred to the heavenly paradise- Matt. 27:50-53; 2 Cor. 12:4; Rev. 2:7.
