THE CROSS, THE SURE WAY TO HEAVEN

The crucial question we must ask ourselves before we will know how to prepare ourselves and others for rapture is: What kind of believers does the Lord reveal in His word that will make it to heaven? This question is clearly answered in 2 Pet. 3:11-12 which is those who live a holy and godly life. These ones will make it to heaven either through death or rapture. Hence believers that want to make it to heaven must live and maintain an uncompromised standard of separation from this world- from its traditions, customs, life-style and fashion. Holiness here must be in every aspect; in the aspect of spiritual living, physical living, moral, social qualities and qualifications and this is offensive to the earthly and carnally minded people. The great danger being posed by so called mega churches and preachers of modernized Christianity is, indeed, a force every serious minded believer must be ready to contend against if he or she must make it to heaven.

The preachers of most modern churches use the bible as a guise to promote so many man-made gospels; which are the gospel of human philosophy, psychology and logics- Col.2: 8-10; the gospel of economics and commerce- 2 Pet. 2:1-3, 17-22; the gospel of style and fashion- Rom. 12:1-2, 1 Pet. 1:13-17; the gospel of humanism and individualism- 2 Tim. 3:1-5.

The common traits these modern gospel reproduce is evident in their members. They make Christianity to resemble the world in so many ways- Jam. 4:4-6; They promote apostasy and rebellion against God and His word- 2 Thess. 2; They are enemies of the cross- Phil. 3:17-21; They are earthly minded and pursue after worldly lust- Jn. 2:15-17.

The gospel of modernized Christianity is devoid of the spiritual power of the grace of God that changes and transforms the sinful and willful heart of man. This and more are the manifestations of the spirit of anti-christ in the churches of today. Everything is made to reproduce its kind on earth. Human gospel will only reproduce that which is earthly. Only the original gospel of Christ and His cross has the power to reproduce that which is heavenly- 1 Cor. 15:42-58.
